Photo Retouching Messy Originals

Sometimes photos just need that extra clean up to become worthy of your photo album. This photo, for example, was begging to have the distracting elements removed. It just needed to regain its Renaissance feel.

Photoshop to the rescue: for this photo retouching, I used mostly the clone tool. To a lesser extent, the brush tool as well as some color photo filters and perspective distortion came in handy. In the process, I used clean(er) parts from 2 other photos which allowed me to retouch the unneeded vehicles and background people away. Finally, some minor gaps which the extra photos didn’t cover had to be manually drawn in Photoshop using the clone and brush tools.
